Binding time

6 September 2022

There’s a queen size quilt sitting in my cupboard. I finished piecing it at least five years ago and it was professionally quilted at least three years ago. It still doesn’t have binding.

I’m not sure of the stumbling block. Do I imagine it’s already finished? Does the thought of preparing binding strips put me off? Or is it just a matter of being out of sight that deters me?

I’ve now taken it out of the cupboard and put in on my sewing table. Binding is overdue and that’s what I’ll do next.

In the meantime, I am adding binding to this small gift quilt. It will be finished this week and then I can move on. It’s not often I finish a quilt so when I get to the binding stage, I’m thrilled. 😀
