Books I’ve been reading

26 September 2026Leave a Comment

There are so many books to read but here are some I’ve enjoyed recently.

Elly Griffiths, The Killing Time

A great series and I’m waiting for the next one (The Case of the Christmas Card, coming in October).

Sarah Moss, Ripeness

I will read anything this author writes.

Douglas Stuart, John of John

First of his I’ve read. Mesmerising and so sad.

Sally Hepworth, Mad Mabel

Deserving of all the positive reviews.

Dervla McTiernan, Three reasons for revenge

Full of tension and what-ifs.

Alexander McCall Smith, The subtle pleasures of indiscretion

A gentle delight. This is 16th in the series.

Sarah Clutton, The bookshop of buried pasts

A complex and engaging story. A real treat.

What have you been reading? Any recommendations?
