We’ve had so much rain that my garden is sodden, with pools of water along the edges of beds in the back garden. It seems like every day there is some in our rain gauge. If only it would fall evenly throughout the year!
The next few days should bring some sunshine. Oh happy days.
I’m picking poppy seed heads today so I can dry them and retrieve seeds later. The white doubles flowered well and so did the red ones but the rain has destroyed all the flowers. Time for a good tidy.
Here’s my December gardening column, as published in the local newspaper Southern Highlands Express. In it, I write more about my poppies.
