My book of the month: October 2021

31 October 2021

Oh, this is a goody. Pamela Hart (who also writes as Pamela Freeman) has branched out into mysteries. This is the first in her Poppy McGowan series and the sentence on the front cover sums it up: “Renovations are hell – and that’s before you find the body beneath the floorboards”.

I read this book in a single day. Loved Poppy, a researcher for the ABC, whose builder found bones under the floor of her house in Annandale. Poppy is sensible, yet feisty, and I wanted to know more about her life immediately.

Throw Poppy’s large family and a couple of love interests into the mix, and you have a great story. More please, Pamela Hart!

You can read more about Digging Up Dirt on Goodreads.
