Playing with Prisma

9 July 2021

Playing with photo filters is an aimless activity, most suitable for these dreary winter days. I enjoy using Prisma on my iPad (it’s available for Android devices, too) to create different versions of photos.

This is my original photo of poppy seed heads from my garden.

This one has the Thota Vaikuntam filter applied. It still retains the original colours but puts emphasis on the lines in the shapes.

This one has the Gothic filter applied. The colours have changed and the mood is more sombre.

The Curly Hair filter has turned my photo into a grey tone drawing.

There are more free filters in the app and, if you pay a subscription, additional filters are available. I’m quite happy fiddling around with the free filters.

So, there are some ideas if you are need of some harmless fun. Have you tried this app? Which filter do you prefer?
