Stepping gently into 2021

3 January 2021

We’ve slipped quietly into another month, as summer progresses. Thankfully, there is no blistering heat here, just plenty of gentle rain. My garden sends its thanks by thriving. Growth is luxuriant and we are surrounded by green.

Simple acts sustain us. Tending the garden, recording the levels captured in our rain gauge, reading, watching stories on TV, talking, and tweaking our surroundings so our house becomes more of the home we want. Some days, we can literally watch the grass grow.

It’s soothing and reassuring that the seasons continue with their own rhythm. I am thankful for that.

I am also thankful for you, for reading my posts. I am grateful to those of you who leave comments here or on my social media and engage in conversations. Thank you for your kindness. Let’s continue the dialogue this year!
