Hello everyone, I’m popping into your inbox mid-week to share I few things I’ve found engaging. Please leave a comment if you find something of interest here!
My garden is full of aquilegias at present. I love these dainty cottage flowers and wrote about them here.
Are you watching Wednesday on Netflix? We are halfway through this murder mystery and it is so addictive. All the Gothic settings and elements (Tim Burton was Executive Director, so what else would you expect?) add to the sense of otherworldliness. The best part for me so far? The cello interpretation of Paint It Black in episode 1. I’m obsessed with it and am playing it over and over.
What shows are you watching? We are always looking for new viewing.
I signed up to The Quilt Show for a year – there is so much content there! Video instruction, interviews with quilters, patterns, BOMs (including the 2023 BOM by Sarah Fielke) and heaps more. I suspect I’ll be learning plenty from the site.
I’ve finished stitching my bird block. You can read about it here.
You may know of Kate Forsyth for her novels but did you know about the quilt she is making? It’s a deeply personal textile work, with each part a memory from her life. You can read Kate’s story about it here.
I’ve added a couple of book reviews to my webpage: Salt and Skin by Eliza Henry-Jones and Paperbark Hill by Mya Linnell.
Do you use Instagram? I do enjoy sharing photos there – pop over and say hello!
