It’s getting chilly here, so I thought I would knit a new cardigan. If I had any sense, I would have started it six months ago since I’m such a slow knitter. This required a decision about what pattern to use (cue hours of internet searching for a pattern I liked) and a decision about the yarn to use (even more internet searching and wondering if the photos of the yarns really represented the colours in real life).
Perhaps I already had a pattern I could use? As I was fossicking through my cupboard, I discovered three bags of unfinished projects, including two cardigans. Sigh.
One only requires knitting the front bands and then sewing the pieces together. The second needs to have sleeves knitted and the pieces joined. There is also a fully knitted jumper waiting to be sewn together.
These are in addition to the jumper I currently have on my needles. They are all blue, as is the new yarn I bought. No surprises there.
It’s quite ridiculous to have these unfinished woollens in the cupboard. Knitting begins on the cardigan bands tonight. Once I finish this cardigan, I’ll have a cosy piece of clothing that has been at least ten years in the making. Am I the world’s slowest knitter?
Hope I like it once it’s done!
